Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
• Content you create — the job applications, companies, roles, statuses, notes, activities, and any other information you enter into the app.
• Technical data — basic, standard server and security logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated when you use the service.

• To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
• To provide, maintain, and improve the features of the service.
• To store and display the job-search data you choose to enter.
• To protect the service against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate essential service notices.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your job-search content for advertising.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only your basic profile (name, email address, and profile picture) for the sole purpose of creating and authenticating your account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not share Google user data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (see subprocessors below), and we never use it for advertising.

Your data is hosted on managed infrastructure (see subprocessors). It is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in a database protected by row-level security, so each account can access only its own records. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run CareerForger:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Google — optional sign-in (OAuth).
• Payment and AI providers — where you use paid or AI-assisted features, we may use processors such as Stripe (billing) and AI model providers to deliver those specific features. We share only what is necessary for the feature to work.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time within the app. You may also request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and no third-party script runs on this site.

We also set one first-party cookie that records how you first reached us: the campaign tags in the link you followed, if any, and the domain of the site that referred you — never the full referring address, which can contain a search you typed. It contains no identifier and is not shared with anyone. If you create an account, that single record is stored with it so we can tell which channels bring people to CareerForger; otherwise the cookie expires after 90 days and is never used for anything else.

CareerForger is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice.
